Hasumi Yuichi (played by Hayato Ichihara) lives with his mother, stepfather, and younger brother in a quiet town. He and his classmate Hoshino Shusuke (played by Shugo Oshinari) are in the kendo club, and the two become good friends. Hoshino was originally a student with excellent character and academic performance, but he was envied by his classmates. When a group of classmates came back from Okinawa during the summer vacation, Hoshino seemed like a different person. Then Hoshino began to enjoy bullying his classmates, and his methods were cruel, and Yuichi was no exception. Yuichi is a loner and likes the singer Lily Chou-Chou. On the Lily Chou-Chou forum he founded, he met a person named “Ao Neko”. Yuichi and Ao Neko both live an difficult life. The two encouraged each other and agreed to meet at Lily Chou-Chou’s concert.
