In a certain year in the near future, a deadly and destructive virus broke out on Earth, causing the death of more than half of the world’s population. The boundless ocean seems to have become a divine domain that the virus cannot enter, and the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer “Nathan James” commanded by Captain Tom Candler (Eric Dane) has become a Noah’s Ark drifting aimlessly and waiting for pardon after the punishment of heaven. In order to preserve the manpower and ensure that the two filterable pathogen scholars on the ship develop an antidote to the poison, Captain Candler defied the call of the US Provisional Government and took the crew on a long journey.
