The unknown secret story of America’s first spy has finally been revealed. Jamie Bell will play Abe Woodhull, a small farmer living behind enemy lines on British-occupied Long Island. He and a group of childhood friends set up The Culper Ring, a secret agent group that doesn’t look very real. They moved around, making the rebels profit in various ways and driving the tide of war. Their bold attempts also completely changed the “art of spies”, and modern espionage technology as we know it was born, accompanied by complex tests of morality that cannot be avoided. This is a vibrant and contemporary story. Turn makes history more suspenseful and has entertaining resonance.
